Welcome to Centre for Advanced Materials (CAM)


This Centre has been established at IACS in 2006 to pursue frontier areas of research on materials and molecules with functional properties. Activities under this Centre will encompass diverse disciplines, covering a variety of areas such as nanomaterials, smart materials, functional molecules, polymers and other organic systems, spintronics, strongly correlated electron systems, bio-materials and biology-inspired materials. The Centre has programs for Ph.D. and post-doctoral research work in interdisciplinary sciences. At present the Centre consists of two faculty members, two technical and office staffs and about 25 Ph.D. and post-doctoral students.
