On the occasion of the 150th Anniversary of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), the ACS–IACS Student Chapter is pleased to invite abstracts for SciVation 2026, its Annual Scientific Seminar to be held at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Jadavpur, Kolkata.

• Venue: C.V. Raman Hall, IACS, Kolkata (Hybrid Mode)

SciVation 2026 aims to provide a vibrant interdisciplinary platform for students and young researchers from diverse scientific backgrounds of chemical sciences —including organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical biology, biological chemistry and related fields—to present their research, exchange ideas, and engage with emerging trends in contemporary science.

As part of SciVation 2026, we are also organizing a dedicated BS–MS segment titled “SciVerse: Chemtrends & Young Mind”, aimed at encouraging early-stage researchers to actively engage with the scientific community. In addition to experimental and computational research contributions, BS–MS and integrated MS-PhD students are also encouraged to submit well-structured literature surveys or critical reviews based on reputed scientific journals.

Call for Abstracts

We invite original research abstracts for the following presentation categories:

• Oral Flash Presentations (Offline - For Grad Students and above)
• Poster Presentations (Offline - For All Students)

The seminar will be conducted in hybrid mode (offline and online). Selected abstracts will be scheduled for either Oral In-Person Flash Presentation or Poster In-Person presentation during the scientific sessions.

Abstract Submission Deadline: 19th January 2026; 11.59 PM. Today.

• Chemical Sciences and Molecular Design
• Biological and Biomedical Sciences
• Physical and Materials Sciences
• Interdisciplinary and Translational Research in Chemistry
• Emerging Trends in Science and Technology associated with chemistry

Registration (For Internal and External Students):

• Registration Fee for External Students - INR 600 /- 
• Registration Fee for Internal Students of IACS - INR 300 /-

Please refer to the attached Submission Guidelines PDF for formatting, eligibility, and submission details. Although we have limited slots for Oral Flash Presentation and hence all are requested to submit their abstracts as early as possible. Moreover, in certain consequences for saturation of Oral Flash Presentation slots, participants may be requested to get accommodated for in-person poster presentations. BS-MS and MS-iPhD students are only entitled for Poster Presentation Sessions.
