Founded in 1999 to mark India’s 50th Independence Anniversary, the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI), currently having over 5000 life members, aims to advance chemical research and education (https://crsi-india.org/). The society fosters talent through symposia and workshops while maintaining global partnerships with prestigious bodies like the RSC, ACS, and GDCh. The 37th CRSI National Symposium in Chemistry (CRSI-NSC-37) will be hosted at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Kolkata (https://www.iacs.res.in/). Established in 1876 by Dr. Mahendra Lal Sircar amidst the intellectual awakening of 19th-century Bengal, IACS stands as India’s first research institute. To this day, it remains the only institution in the country to have produced a Nobel Prize in Science. Having been a sanctuary for scientific luminaries throughout the 20th century, IACS continues its legacy of global excellence into its 150th Anniversary in 2026. To mark this historic milestone, IACS is proud to host the 37th National Symposium in Chemistry (CRSI-NSC-37). Held under the auspices of the CRSI, this premier event will feature a rigorous program of medal lectures, invited talks, and poster sessions.In addition, there will be a Chemistry Workshop for capacity building of high school teachers on Chemistry teaching with hands-on small-scale experiments.
