Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata invites applications for two Junior Research Fellow positions to work under the supervision of Dr. Avisek Das ( http://iacs.res.in/faculty-profile.html?id=120 ).

The topics of the research will be “Theory and simulation of soft matter self-assembly” and “Theory and simulation of biological systems including biological membranes, soluble and membrane proteins”.

Junior Research Fellow (2 positions)

Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA (as per rules)

Essential qualifications: M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry (specialization in Physical Chemistry), Biological Sciences (specialization in Biochemistry/Biophysics/Molecular Biology) with first class and aggregate marks of 55% in both B.Sc. and M.Sc., along with overall good academic records. Candidates must qualify for NET/GATE.

Desirable qualifications: Experience in computer programming and numerical methods.
