SciCaffe@IACS in the afternoon(between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm) preferably on the last Saturday of every month has been envisioned to expose school students to the latest advances in modern science in the form of public lectures.

For February, it will be held on February 12, 2026 at 2.00 PM. The subject theme for the discussion of this month is ‘Why Materials’. In the recent few years, materials science has revolutionized human life – be in silicon technology, wearable electronics, soft tissues and biomaterials or quantum materials. The talks will introduce this very important and useful topic to the public.
