The selection process of Laboratory Instructors [contractual for 1 year] vide Advt. No. 1142A, dated 20/07/2018 has been cancelled due to technical reasons.
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for contractual appointment of Laboratory Instructors in the Teaching Laboratories of IACS as below:
Number of positions:
In the area of Physics: One
In the area of Chemistry: One
In the area of Biology: One
In the area of Computer Science and/or Applications: One
Emolument:
The consolidated emolument for the individual posts will be equivalent to those of Research Associates, depending on the individual qualification and experience.
Nature of Engagement:
The appointments will be purely on temporary basis initially for a period of one year only, but can be extended as per need of the laboratories and considering the performance of the incumbent.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The laboratory instructors are expected to prepare laboratory manuals as per syllabus, make all the experiments ready before beginning of the semester, give instructions to the students for each experiment, assist the students in conducting experiments, help students in preparing lab reports, maintain attendance record, do needful to evaluate the students, maintain lab inventories, maintain the apparatus and take full responsibilities in maintaining appropriate environment of the teaching laboratory.
Qualifications:
1. Must have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in the respective areas of Science (Physics/ Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science and/or Applications) from a UGC-recognized university.
2. Honours at the Bachelor's level in Physics/Chemistry/Biological Sciences/Computer Science and/or Applications with a minimum of 55% marks in the major subjects.
3. M.Sc. or equivalent with 55% marks in Physics/Chemistry/Biological Sciences/Computer Science and/or Applications.

The shortlisted candidates will be called for interview for final selection.
