Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the Research Associate-I position in the School of Physical Sciences, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata, India.
Name of the post : Research Associate – I (RA-1)
Number of post : One (01)
Fellowship : As per rules of the Institute.
Duration: Initial appointment for one year and may be extended another year depending on the performance.
Minimum qualification: Candidates should have Ph.D. degree in experimental condensed matter physics and age must be below 35 years as of 1st September 2022. Candidates who have submitted the Ph.D. thesis. The candidate is awaiting for the award of degree may also apply, in that case the candidate must produce a letter from a competent authority stating that thesis has been submitted and the final viva/defense is pending.
Desirable expertise: Candidates with experience in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics, in particular, magnetism and/or multiferroics and/or topological materials, will be desired. The selected candidate is expected to work on single crystals of quasi- 1D and 2D materials and their heterostructures.
The position is purely temporary and the candidate will not have any right to claim (explicit or implicit) to any post in the Institute.
