Walk-in Interview for a Research Associate (1 post) in a SERB sponsored research project entitled “Development of Organo- and Transition Metal based Supramolecular Scaffolds toward Recognition, Sensing and Catalytic Organic Transformations” will be held at the School of Chemical Sciences, Room Number 30, Main Building, IACS, Jadavpur, Kolkata-700032 on August 29, 2022 at 11.30 AM. Interested candidates with the following qualifications are required to appear along with a full bio-data.

Essential Qualifications: A candidate should have a first class or a high second class B.Sc. & M.Sc. degree in Chemistry with minimum average marks of 55% and has obtained Ph.D. The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in chemistry and research experience supported by publications in peer-reviewed journals in the field of synthetic chemistry and template directed synthesis of Supramolecular systems.  Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in synthesis and knowledge on usual product characterization techniques including spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, isothermal titration calorimetry etc.

Research Area: Catalysis and Supramolecular Chemistry

Age limit:  34 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rule.

Emoluments:  As per rules of the Association.                

Tenure of Fellowship: Till the completion of the project (min. 5 months and max. 8 months)

The post is purely temporary.  No TA will be admissible for attending the interview.
