Advertisement for the post of JRF in DST-SERB sponsored project  CRG/2021/000803 titled “Extraction, Organization and Query of Scholarly Information”

Interested candidates are requested to apply for an online interview for the following temporary post in the School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur, Kolkata-700 032. The deadline of receiving applications is May 6, 2022.

Name of the position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF).

Essential Qualification: First class Master’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology / Mathematics and Computing (Major: Computer Science) or in related areas from any recognized University or Institute. Final year Master’s students may apply but if selected they must satisfy the essential qualification at the time of joining. Candidates must have a valid GATE / NET score .

Desirable Qualification: Strong programming skills, knowledge in the relevant area (natural language processing, machine learning, deep learning, programming with TensorFlow/PyTorch), and and prior work experience in deep learning will be preferred.

Fellowship:

Rs. 31,000 + 24% HRA (as per rules) per month (for first 2 years).

Rs. 35,000 + 24% HRA (as per rules) per month (for the 3rd year)

Age Limit: Maximum 28 years, (Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled/Women candidates).

Duration: The appointment is purely on contract basis upto a maximum period of three years or the availability of fund, whichever is earlier, and subject to satisfactory performance evaluation every six months.
