Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the post of Research Associate (RA-II) * at various Schools of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Kolkata. Interested candidates should send their resume (mentioning email address and phone number) to the In-charge, Academic Office, by email (inchargeacad@iacs.res.in) latest by 19-December-2021. Email subject line must read as: “Application for Name of the post”. For example, a candidate applying for the post mentioned in the second column of the following table must write “Application for RA-II-SCS-1”. One candidate should apply for one post only.

Job Description: Supervision of UG and PG research laboratories in various Schools of IACS, laboratory instruction and guidance to UG and PG students, maintenance of non-trivial research facilities of common interest of the School and research work as assigned/ approved by the School Chair.
Tenure: This position is temporary (initially for one year and can be extended for another year based on satisfactory performance). The candidate will have no right to claim (explicit or implicit) any post in the institute.
Fellowship: As per rules of IACS
Selection procedure: Vacancies shown above for each School are based on specific requirements of expertise in different schools. Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of merit. Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated via email and called for an interview for the final selection. Merely satisfying the eligibility criteria does not guarantee that a candidate will be shortlisted for interview. IACS holds full right of choosing a candidate and even not selecting any, in case suitable applications are not received. A candidate applying for a given post may be considered for another post if found more suitable by the selection committee.
*Note: Based on the past research experience, the selection committee holds the right to recommend the placement of the selected candidates as RA-II/RA-III.
