RA-I position in the School of Chemical Sciences, IACS

Applications are invited for the IACS-funded position of Research Associate-I (RA-I)in the group of Prof. Pradyut Ghosh, School of Chemical Science, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science. The applications will be shortlisted based on academic credential and research experience supported by publications in peer-reviewed journalsin the field of Supramolecular Chemistry. Shortlisted candidates will be requested to appear for an online interview tentatively on 13th September, 2021.

Minimum Qualification:

The candidate should have a PhD degree in Chemistry with research experience in supramolecular/organic catalysis. Knowledge and spectroscopy is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in organic/supramolecularsynthesis,usual product characterization techniques including spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, isothermal titration calorimetry, potentiometric titration etc.Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis are also eligible to apply but their final selection will be guided by the rules of IACS.

Tenure of Fellowship: One year from the date of joining as RA-I, which may be extended for another year based on performance to be reviewed by a committee. The position is purely temporary and the candidate will have no right to claim (explicit or implicit) any post in the institute.

Emoluments:  The fellowship amount will be as per IACS rules.
