Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the Research Associate-I position in the School of Physical Sciences, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata, India.

Name of the post       : Research Associate – I (RA-1)

Number of post          : One (01)

Fellowship                  : As per rules of the Institute.

Duration: Initial appointment for one year and may be extended further depending on the performance.

Minimum qualification: PhD degree in experimental physics. Candidates who have submitted the thesis and awaiting award of degree may also apply. Candidate must produce a letter from competent authority stating that the thesis has been submitted and the final viva/defense is pending. 

Desirable expertise: Candidates with experience in experimental condensed matter physics in particular, magnetic materials will be highly preferred. The selected candidate is expected to work on the low dimensional magnetic materials and its heterostructures.

The position is purely temporary and the candidate will not have any right to claim (explicit or implicit) to any post in the Institute.
