Research Associate-I Position in the School of Chemical Sciences, IACS
Applications are invited for the IACS-funded position of Research Associate-I (RA-I) in the group of Prof. Joyram Guin, School of Chemical Science, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science. Applications with complete bio-data may be sent by email at ocjg@iacs.res.in by August 16, 2021.
The applications will be shortlisted based on academic credential and research experience supported by publications in peer-reviewed journals. Shortlisted candidates will be requested to appear for an online interview sometime in August-September, 2021. The exact date and time of the online interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates only.
Essential qualifications: The candidates should have Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry with research experience in radical chemistry, photocatalysis and multistep organic synthesis of complex natural products supported by publications in peer reviewed journals. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting award of the same may also apply but their final selection will be guided by the rules of IACS.
No. of Post: One (1)
Duration: Initial appointment will be done for six (6) months, which is extendable up to 1 year based on the performance of the candidate and position availability.
Emoluments: The fellowship amount will be as per IACS rules. The position is purely temporary and it would therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit to any permanent post in the Institute by attending the interview.
For Ph.D. holder, the original or provisional certificate and for the candidate who has submitted the thesis, the relevant documents like acknowledgment copy from the respective university or the authorized letter from the respective supervisor with signature and stamp mentioning the title of thesis, university registration number, date of submission is mandatory to produce during the interview.
