SRF position in School of Applied and Interdisciplinary Sciences on a project entitled “Chemical modification of morpholino antisense oligonucleotides to improve the cell permeability and gene silencing properties against the transcription factors involved in cancer stem cells” ('Advt No. SS/SAIS/ 033  Dated; 14/07/2021')

Applications are invited in plain papers containing full bio-data for recruitment of one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for a period of one year extended upto 3 years upon satisfactory outcome to work for the R&D project entitled Chemical modification of morpholino antisense oligonucleotides to improve the cell permeability and gene silencing properties against the transcription factors involved in cancer stem cells”. Candidates are requested to appear in a walk-in-interview along with application on 23rd July, 2021 at 2 PM in online meeting mode of IACS (link will be provided through email of the candidate). The desire candidate should submit their signed application along with their scanned copies of Bachelor degree onwards certificates and relevant experiences to ocss5@iacs.res.in (Dr. Surajit Sinha) within 5 days of the publication of the advertisement.

Essential Qualifications :  

a)      Candidate should have first class B.Sc. &  M.Sc. degree  with minimum average 60%  marks in Chemistry.

b)       Minimum 2 years research experience in synthetic organic chemistry/peptide synthesis/nucleotide synthesis with NET-JRF, NET-LS or valid GATE score.

Desirable Experience   : Experience in Gel electrophoresis, Cell-biology related experiments and Microscopy (confocal), FACS, etc.

Duration                         : 1 year

Age limit                         : 28 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rule.

Remuneration for SRF  : As per Government rules.

The post is purely temporary and it would therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any attending the interview. No TA will be admissible for attending the interview.
