Essential Qualifications (with specialization):

M. Sc. (Scientific Computing or Physics) or M. C. A. / M. Sc. (Computer Science) or B. E. / B. Tech. (Computer Science/ Electrical/ Electronics and Communication/ Engg. Physics/ Chemical Engg./Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering/ Maths and Computing)

Skill sets (desired): Programming in FORTRAN/C/C++; Strong aptitude in Mathematics; Good background in Numerical Methods; Experience with parallel programming (MPI/OpenMP/ CUDA/OpenCL) highly desirable; Good communication skills and aptitude to learn new concepts in HPC and parallel architectures. Experience in or exposure to performance optimization of serial and parallel programs written in FORTRAN/C/C++ is highly desirable.

 

Remuneration: Rs. 75,000/-  per month without HRA.

Tenure of Fellowship: 2 years from the date of joining, subject to an evaluation after one year as per the rules of the Institute.

The position is purely temporary, and the candidate will not have any right to claim (explicit or implicit) to any permanent post in the Institute. No TA will be admissible for attending the interview. Interview via video based facility such as skype however is permissible subject to the availability of requisite connections.
