Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the Research Associate-I position in the School of Physical Sciences, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata, India.

Name of the post       : Research Associate – I (RA-1)

Number of post         : One (01)

Fellowship                  : As per rules of the Institute.

Duration: Initial appointment for six months and may be extended further depending on the performance.

Minimum qualification: PhD degree in Physics, Chemistry or Material Science. Candidates who have submitted the thesis and awaiting award of degree may also apply. Candidate must produce a letter from competent authority stating that the thesis has been submitted and the final viva/defense is pending. 

Desirable qualifications: Candidates with experience in computation of band structures, and electron/spin transport in nanostructures and disordered materials will be highly preferred.
