RA-I position in the Department of Materials Science

Applications are invited in plain papers containing full bio-data for recruitment of one Extended Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/Research Associate-I (RA-I) in the Department of Materials Science under Dr. Sugata Ray, for works related water purification and membrane technology. The applicant should clearly write “Application for IACS/MS/SR/56-2017” on the envelope.

Qualifications & Experience: The candidates should have first or high second class B.Sc. and M.Sc degree in Chemistry with minimum average of 55% marks in B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. The extended SRF position is applicable only for candidates who have submitted his/her thesis. The position will be automatically transferred to a RA-I position once the successful candidate gets his/her degree.  

The direct RA candidate should have consistently good academic record with background in Chemistry and a Ph.D. degree in science. Experience in various chemical methods of water purification, learned use of nanotechnology, and membrane development would be considered as a positive factor. Age: Preferably below 32 years, as on 1st January 2017.

Emoluments: Will be decided as per rules of the Association. The post is purely temporary and the appointment will be for one year and may be extended for another year but it would certainly not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any permanent position in the association. No TA will be admissible for attending the interview.
