Walk-in Interview for a Research Associate(1 post)in a SERB sponsored research project entitled “Halogen Bonding (XB) versus Hydrogen Bonding (HB) in Anion Recognition and Sensing” will be held at the School of Chemical Sciences, Room Number 30, Main Building, IACS, Jadavpur, Kolkata-700032 on March 11, 2019 at 11.30 AM. Interested candidates with the following qualifications are required to appear along with a full bio-data.

Essential Qualifications: A candidate should have a first class or a high second class B.Sc. & M.Sc. degree in Chemistry with minimum average marks of 55% and has obtained Ph.D. The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in chemistry and research experience supported by publications in peer-reviewed journals in the field of synthetic chemistry and template directed synthesis of macromolecules etc. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in synthesis and knowledge on usual product characterization techniques including spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, isothermal titration calorimetry etc.

Research Area:  Supramolecular Chemistry

Age limit:  34 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rule.

Emoluments:  As per rules of the SERB, New Delhi.                

Tenure of Fellowship: The assignment will be up to the date of completion of the above project (tentatively 22.09.2019).

The post is purely temporary.  No TA will be admissible for attending the interview.
