Research Area: Interface of supramolecular and polymer chemistry
Essential Qualifications: A candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in any field of Organic / Supramolecular / Polymer Chemistry from a recognized University /Institute with good publication list. A candidate should have a first class or a high second class B.Sc. & M.Sc. degree in Chemistry with minimum average marks of 55%.
Desired Experience: The candidate should preferably be skilled in multistep organic synthesis and/ or polymer synthesis by various controlled polymerization techniques. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in investigation self-assembly process of various supramolecular and polymeric systems by different techniques such as spectroscopy (UV-Vis absorption, fluorescence, NMR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), electron microscopy (SEM/TEM), scattering techniques (DLS, SLS), differential scanning calorimetry, isothermal titration calorimetry, etc.
Fellowship: As per IACS rules
Tenure: Initial appointment will be done for one year. This can be extended further on satisfactory progress and subject to the approval by the project monitoring committee and availability of vacancy.

Interview date will be communicated to the short listed applicants via email.
Age limit: 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rule.
Nationality: The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
No TA will be admissible for attending the interview.
The position of RA-1 is purely temporary. The candidate will have no right to claim (explicit or implicit) any post in the institute.
