Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in the School of Physical Sciences
Applications are invited for recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the project (SERB, DST, GoI) entitled "Two-dimensional Magnets under Extreme Conditions: Manipulation of Electronic and Magnetic Order" under the supervision of Dr. Subhadeep Datta in the School of Physical Sciences within 15 days from the date of publishing the advertisement. up to 03.07.2022.
Essential Qualifications:
a) Candidates should have M.Sc. degree in Physics/Material Science/Electronics with 55% marks both in B.Sc.(Hons.) and M.Sc. examination along with good overall academic record.
b) The candidate must have valid GATE/JEST score. Those who are awaiting M.Sc. or equivalent result but have qualified in NET/GATE/JEST examination may also apply.
Desirable Qualifications: Specialization in condensed matter physics
No. of position: 01 (One)
Research Area: Experimental Condensed Matter Physics; Two-dimensional (2D) Magnetism, Mesoscopic Physics, Development of micro/nano-electronic sensors and arrays.
Fellowship : As per SERB, DST rules.
Age limit : Should be below 28 years on the date of application. Age relaxation is applicable
as per Govt. rule.
Nationality : The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
Duration : 3 years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
Selection Procedure : Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of merit. In this regard, percentage of marks obtained in Bachelors & Masters (including particulars like specialization etc.), year of passing, present status/enrollment, qualification details of GATE/JEST (year of passing, AIR, Score, percentile, validity, etc.)and other distinctions should be mentioned in the application. Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated via email and called for an interview for the final selection.
The position is purely temporary and a candidate will not have any right to claim (explicit or implicit) to any post in the Institute. No TA will be admissible for attending the interview.
