Applications are invited for the appointment  of ONE PhD student (JRF) as an Institute Fellow to work under the supervision of Professor Bimalendu Deb in the Department of Materials Science of IACS.  

Research Area: Theoretical atomic & molecular sciences and quantum optics

Essential Qualifications :
a) Candidate should have first or high second class B.Sc. & M.Sc. in Physics with minimum average 55% marks.

b) Candidate must have qualified NET(CSIR/UGC) or GATE examination. Preference will be given for candidates with research experience in the area of atomic, molecular & optical sciences and scientific programming with Fortran

Fellowship: As per rules of IACS

Age limit: Should be below 28 years on the date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rule.

Nationality : An applicant must be an Indian citizen.

Selection Procedure : Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of merit. Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated via email and called for an interview.

The position is purely temporary and the candidate will not have any right to claim (explicit or implicit) to any permanent post in the Institute. No TA will be admissible for attending the interview.
