Requirement of ONE Junior Research Fellow in the DST-SERB sponsored project in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry under the supervision of Dr. Harapriya Rath.
Research Area:
Heterocyclic Macrocycle Chemistry
Essential Qualifications:
a) Candidate should have first or high second class B.Sc. & M.Sc. in Chemistry with minimum average 55% marks.
b) Candidate must have qualified NET (CSIR/UGC) or GATE examination. Preference
will be given for candidates with research experience in the area of synthetic
Organic Chemistry,
familiarity with TLC, prep-TLC, Column Chromatography and usual product
characterization techniques including Spectroscopy during M.Sc degree.
Candidates with Physical Chemistry experience can also apply.
Fellowship: As per rules of DST-SERB.
Age limit: Should be below 28 years on the date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rule.
Nationality: An applicant must be an Indian citizen.
Selection Procedure: Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of merit. In this regard, percentage of marks obtained in Bachelors (including particulars like specialization etc.) & Masters, year of passing, present status/enrollment, qualification details of NET (type of NET whether UGC or CSIR, LS etc.)/ GATE exams including ranks and other distinctions should be mentioned in the application. Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated via email and called for an interview.
The position is purely temporary and the candidate will not have any right to claim (explicit or implicit) to any permanent post in the Institute. No TA will be admissible for attending the interview.
