Supramolecular self-assemblies: Biocatalysis to Biomedicine
Our research objective involves designing of task specific functional amphiphiles, gels, vesicles, carbon nanomaterial (CNT, GO, CNP) doped soft nanocomposites, metal nanoparticle doped self-assemblies and other self-assemblies. These self-assemblies are employed in versatile disciplines of science from biocatalysis to biomedicinal applications that includes intracellular cargo (drug/DNA/protein) delivery, biosensing, antimicrobial tissue engineering scaffolds. We are also in a constant endeavor to improve the catalytic efficiency of enzyme confined in aggregated structure through modulation of space in vicinity of biocatalysts.
