Research Associate-I position in the School of Physical Sciences, IACS
Applications are invited for the appointment of Research Associate-I in the School of Physical Sciences, IACS. The deadline of receiving applications will be 21 days from the date of publishing the advertisement.

Essential Qualifications :
A candidate should have a first or high second class M. Sc. degree in Physics, with minimum average of 55% marks both in B.Sc.(Hons.) and M.Sc. examinations, along with a good overall academic record and has obtained Ph.D. or due to submit thesis within three months, with research experience supported by publications in peer-reviewed journals in the field of Particle Physics Phenomenology and Astro-particle Physics. A candidate who is expected to submit his/her Ph.D. thesis within three months from the deadline for this application mentioned above may also apply with a separate declaration letter given by the candidate’s supervisor mentioning the above three-month time-limit. This has to be submitted by the candidate along with his/her application.
Fellowship: Rs. 47,000/- (for RA-I) or Rs. 35,000/- (Bridge Fellow) per month + HRA as per rules of the Association.
i) A selected candidate holding a Ph.D. degree at the time of joining will receive the fellowship of the RA-I position from the date of joining.
ii) A selected candidate who is yet to receive Ph.D. degree may join only after the submission of his/her thesis within the time-limit mentioned earlier subject to documentary proof of the thesis submission. Such candidates will draw a fellowship amount as appropriate to a bridge fellowship as per the rules of IACS and will be eligible to receive the full RA-I fellowship from the award date of the doctoral degree, supported by documentary proof.
Tenure of Fellowship: 2 years from the date of joining as RA-I / Bridge fellow, subject to an evaluation after one year as per the rules of the Institute.
The position is purely temporary, and the candidate will not have any right to claim (explicit or implicit) any permanent post in the Institute. No TA will be admissible for attending the interview. Interview will be held via electronic media such as Skype/Google Meet/Zoom platform.
