Faculty Position Deatails SMCS
Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) invites applications from highly qualified young candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or Statistics for appointment as Assistant Professor in the School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences (SMCS). Some of the thrust areas of interest that SMCS is looking for are Partial Differential Equations, Finite Element Method and Numerical Analysis, Financial Mathematics, Mathematical Biology, Probability Theory, Stochastic Processes, Stochastic Control Theory, Biostatistics, Stochastic Analysis or any other major area in Applied Mathematics or Statistics of current interest. Persons recruited in the faculty positions will be required to regularly take part in teaching courses in Mathematics and Statistics for the integrated BS-MS and integrated MS-PhD progammes of IACS, in addition to pursuing research activities. In order to apply, the candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or Statistics with a consistently good track-record, having secured at least 55% marks at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level. The candidate should also have commensurate post-Ph.D. experience in teaching and research.
