Synthesis, Crystal Growth and Characterization of Nonlinear Optical( NLO) Materials by Theory and Experiment: Our primary interest is to synthesize some new Semiorganic NLO materials. We first check the possibility of presence of nonlinear optical properties in these materials by Theoretical studies followed by molecular structure determination by single crystal X-ray diffraction method. If the materials are found optically nonlinear then we grow large size single crystals of these materials by slow cooling solution growth method and study the optical, thermal and mechanical properties of these as-grown crystals to check the suitability of these NLO crystals for fabrication of devices.
